I vinterkalde Oslo delte administrerende direktør Egil Skavang fredag ut Arkitektbedriftenes studentpris til AHO-studenten Àngel Morado Vidal fra Mallorca for masteroppgaven "Kulturhus i Lillesand".
I beskrivelsen av ”Kulturhus i Lillesand” som er tegnet inn i bukten ved innseilingen til Lillesand, skriver studenten: ” The first decision was to create an strong relation between both sides of the bay. I looked for a program that increase the activity of the zone and also the cultural interest. The Culture Center will be the symbol of the new city looking for a development. The design look for the relation always present in Lillesand between the ground and the sea.
It’s a landscape-building so the ground rises in the form of ramps creating new panoramic views. I looked for a flexible form and a clear structure that allows to get diaphanous spaces. For that i created a framed steel structure inside the double facade (polycarbonate for the exterior and glass inside). That construction solution allows us to install lights in the maintenance gateway so we will have all the volume illuminated. This will convert the building to the light of the new development of the city.”
– Prosjektet er et av få hvor man umiddelbart forstår hva det er og hvor det er. Detaljeringsgraden er meget godt tilpasset formålet. Bruken av vinklet foto og 3D fungerer meget godt, sa Egil Skavang om juryens begrunnelse for valg av vinneren.
Àngel Morado Vidal var strålende takknemlig for prisen og gledet seg over et ekstra tilskudd i reisekassen.
