  •  The competition has begun on 2 May 2011 and it closes on 30 September 2011.

  • The competition programme and all additional information can be downloaded from the competition website: www.southharbour.fi

  • South Harbour is Helsinki's most valuable waterfront area. Due to its central location, cultural values, and the passenger port, it constitutes an essential part of Helsinki's identity.

  • The purpose of the competition is to provide a comprehensive analysis of the alternatives and possibilities for this unique planning area.

  • The competition is open to everyone and ideally the design groups should have a varied composition of experts and planners in different fields.

  • The competition programme has been inspected by the competitions council of the Finnish Association of Architects (SAFA)

We hope that you will help us spread the word and join us in welcoming everyone to take part in the competition.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Please contact us if you have any questions or need any additional material.

Yours sincerely:

The Helsinki South Harbour Competition Team
